From the Mills Mansion, the historical last home of the founder of Mount Morris, to the simple fact that Mount Morris was the birthplace of Francis Bellamy, the creator of the Pledge of Allegiance, Mount Morris is rich with history to relive. Or come for the annual ItalianFest, an exciting event filled with food and festivities to celebrate the cultural background of many citizens. For more culture, check out the Livingston Arts Center, a collection of local and regional arts for your viewing pleasure.

Like the outdoors? Mount Morris is close to Letchworth Park, the "Grand Canyon of the East". A magnificent area that is a great destination year round for all sorts of activities, from extended camping trips to a day in the park to even a simple walk for an hour or two. Yet another great attraction is the Mount Morris Dam, a gigantic structure almost 250 feet high. Situated nearby is another scenic park area, perfect for hiking and filled with walking trails.

Yet that is not even all. A wide variety of shops and businesses line Main Street Mount Morris and nearby, making Mount Morris an awesome place to shop! Antiques, crafts, excellent cuisine, and lots of items in between, there is something to be found for everyone.

The French word for raised field or raised plain. In this class you will use an etching process to place your design in metal. This process was first used in the 3rd century AD by the Celts for decorating their shields, and was one of their favorite forms of enameling. This technique is for all levels of enamellers. Friends of the Genesee Valley Greenway In conjunction with National Trails Day 20th Anniversary presents The Bridge over the Genesee River GREAT DEDICATION CELEBRATION Please join us for what could be one of the greatest historical events in transportation history since the Last (Golden) Spike was driven to join the Union Pacific tracks with those of the Central Pacific Railroad on May 10, 1869, at Promontory Summit, Utah, completing the transcontinental railroad. On Saturday, June 2, 2012, the dedication ceremony for the new Genesee Valley Greenway Bridge over the Genesee River will be held at the bridge, which connects the towns of Leicester and Mt Morris, NY. A ???Golden Nut??? on the new bridge will be ???tightened??? symbolizing the joining of the great network of trails to the north of the Genesee River at that point with the equally impressive network of trails to the south. EVENTS: 10AM - Noon: Dedication Ceremony and Celebration ??? Historic photographs will also be taken as well as recognition given for those who have traveled by trail to the dedication and special recognition for those who have traveled by trail from the farthest distance away.
